At a Glance

You can control which types of emails you receive from Counselling Tutor by editing your email preferences. We strongly recommend doing this rather than fully unsubscribing, as opting out completely will affect your account in important ways.

What Emails Do We Send?

As a subscriber, we send you emails to keep you informed and make the most of your membership. These include:

  • Invitations to upcoming live lectures
  • Notifications about recently added lectures and resources
  • Newsletters with membership and Counselling Tutor updates
  • Announcements about new courses, services, and free events

How to Edit Your Email Preferences

The easiest way to manage your preferences is directly from any email we have sent you:

  1. Open any email from Counselling Tutor.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and look at the email signature or footer.
  3. Follow the instructions there to stop receiving that particular type of email.

Each type of email we send includes its own preference link in the footer, so you can opt out of specific categories while continuing to receive others.

Please Think Twice Before Fully Unsubscribing

We understand that a busy inbox is frustrating — but fully unsubscribing from all Counselling Tutor emails has significant consequences for your account:

  • You will not receive password reset emails if you use the Forgot Password link
  • You will not receive handouts or downloadable resources sent by email
  • Our support team will not be able to reply to your emails
  • You will miss all lecture invitations, updates, and service announcements

For these reasons, we strongly suggest editing your preferences to reduce email volume rather than opting out entirely. That way you stay in control without losing access to essential communications.
