At a Glance
The CPD Community is a private group exclusive to library members — a warm, supportive space for qualified practitioners who want to connect with others who share their values around growth and good client work.
Why it exists
Counselling can be a lonely profession. Many practitioners work alone — from a consulting room, a home practice, or behind a screen — with limited contact with peers outside their fortnightly or monthly supervision.
For solo practitioners especially, a sense of belonging matters. The CPD Community is built for that.
What members talk about
Members use the community to:
- Share reflections on lectures they've watched and how they're using the learning
- Ask peers for input when working with a difficult presentation
- Discuss developments in the profession and the wider mental health landscape
- Recommend resources beyond the library
- Connect informally — sometimes a CPD library, sometimes a virtual common room
A note on Facebook
The community currently lives in a private Facebook group. We know not everyone is on Facebook — if that's you, you'll still receive all important updates by email and won't miss out on anything substantive.
Want to know more?
You can see everything that's included — and current membership options — at the Counsellor CPD Library page.
If you have a specific question we haven't answered here, email us at support@counsellingtutor.com — a real person will reply within 24 hours.
