At a Glance
The Counsellor CPD Library is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who are practising and committed to ongoing development. Members range from newly qualified to decades-experienced, working in private practice, agencies, the NHS, and beyond.
Who joins the library
The library is built for qualified practitioners — those who hold a counselling or psychotherapy qualification and are registered with a professional body. Members include:
- Newly qualified counsellors finding their feet and expanding their skills beyond core training
- Experienced practitioners with decades in the chair, keeping their practice current
- Counsellors returning to practice after a break, rebuilding both knowledge and CPD evidence
- Supervisors who recommend the library to their supervisees
- Solo private practitioners who value the community as much as the content
International members
Although based in the UK, the library has members all over the world — Ireland, India, Kenya, Botswana, Australia, and beyond. Wherever you practise, the content is built to be relevant to your client work.
What members have in common
Career stage and setting vary widely. What unites members is something more important: they are intrinsically motivated learners. They do CPD because they want to be better for their clients — not to tick a box.
If that sounds like you, you'll feel at home in the library.
Who it's not for
The library requires a formal counselling or psychotherapy qualification, membership of a professional body, an ethical framework, and engagement in regular clinical supervision. If you are still in training, the Student Library may be a better fit.
