What does each CPD lecture include?

At a Glance

Every lecture in the Counsellor CPD Library includes eight components. Whatever your learning style, schedule, or accessibility needs — there is a format that fits.

What's in every lecture

  • Video presentation — the expert on screen with a slideshow, with closed captions for accessibility
  • Downloadable audio — listen while walking, driving, or commuting
  • Downloadable slide pack — including the learning outcomes, so you can check relevance before watching
  • Full transcript — for reading-preferred learners and quick reference
  • Lecture summary — a concise overview to recap or preview
  • References, bibliography, and further reading — Harvard-style, for citing in your own work or going deeper
  • Recommended lectures — Netflix-style suggestions to help you build expertise in connected areas
  • CPD certificate — 1.5 hours, claimable after completion, professionally designed

Why so many formats?

Counsellors learn in different ways. Some absorb best by watching, some by listening on the move, some by reading. Many members are neurodivergent or have accessibility needs. The multi-format design means every lecture is genuinely accessible — not just technically available.

Accessibility isn't a feature. It's a foundational value.

How CPD hours add up

Each lecture carries 1.5 CPD hours. Watch one a week and you've quietly built up 78 hours of CPD a year — comfortably more than most professional bodies require.

All your certificates are collated in one place inside the library, ready for audit.
