How does attendance work on the Clinical Supervision course?

At a Glance

A minimum of 80% attendance at live sessions is required. Camera must be on throughout each session, and sessions begin promptly.

Attendance Requirement

Our course relies on a minimum 80% attendance rate to support you in becoming a competent and confident supervisor.

If You Miss a Live Session

  • Miss 1 session: Watch the recording and confirm to us that you have done so.
  • Miss 2 sessions: Attend at least one of the missed sessions live with a subsequent monthly cohort. You may watch the recording of the other session if you cannot attend both live.
  • If you know in advance you will miss a session: Contact the Academic Admin Team at academic@counsellingtutor.com as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.

Partial Absences

All partial absences are noted and count toward your total absenteeism. If you know you will arrive late or leave early, please inform the Tech Host during the session and explain the reason.

Camera and Engagement

  • Please have your camera on for the whole session — this supports connection, safe practice, and the standards required for assessment.
  • Sessions begin promptly — aim to join a few minutes early. Any lateness will be noted on the register.

Unable to Meet the 80% Requirement?

If you are unable to meet the attendance requirement, it may be better to pause and rejoin a future monthly cohort. Please contact us to discuss your options — we will always do our best to help you develop a clear, manageable plan.

Adjustments

If any aspect of attendance may be difficult for you, please contact academic@counsellingtutor.com before the session so we can discuss what support might help.
