What happens if I can't attend my cohort's live workshop?

At a Glance

Full attendance at the live workshop is required for graduation. If your cohort's date doesn't work for you, you can attend a future cohort's live workshop instead. Just let the team know.

Why the live workshop matters

The live workshop is where the implementation happens. It is the day you actually build autism-informed practice into your own work — drafting website copy, planning reasonable adjustments, exploring how you'll contract differently. It cannot be replaced by a recording. The peer interaction, the breakout rooms, the live feedback are all part of what makes it transformative.

That's why we ask all students to attend the live day in full.

What to do if your cohort's date doesn't suit

Two options:

  • Attend a future cohort's live workshop. Because new cohorts run on a regular cycle, you can join the live workshop of any subsequent intake. This is built into the structure — not offered as an exception.

You don't lose access to the self-directed materials. You can keep working through the modules at your own pace and join a later workshop when you're ready.

If life gets in the way

If something significant happens during your enrolled cohort — illness, bereavement, family circumstances — please speak to the team. There is almost always a way forward that doesn't involve giving up. The course is here to support you, not to penalise life.
