At a Glance

The course is for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who want to work more confidently and effectively with autistic clients. It is also open to diploma-level students who are currently seeing clients as part of their qualification.

Who joins this course

A wide range of practitioners take the course. Members typically include:

  • Qualified counsellors in private practice seeking ethical, affirming training for autistic clients
  • Practitioners already seeing autistic clients who sense their existing knowledge is incomplete
  • Diploma-level students currently seeing clients, wanting to build autism-informed practice from the start
  • Clinical supervisors wanting deeper understanding to support supervisees who work with autistic clients
  • Counselling educators bringing autism-informed perspectives into their teaching
  • Online counsellors navigating accessibility considerations for remote therapy with autistic clients
  • Practitioners working with minority populations (women, LGBTQIA+, ethnic minorities) where undiagnosed autism is more prevalent
  • Neurodivergent practitioners themselves — many autistic and AuDHD counsellors describe the course as deeply affirming, both personally and professionally

What unites them

A genuine desire to be the kind of practitioner that every autistic client deserves. Not adequate. Not "good enough." Equipped.

"It has given me the confidence and insight into understanding how neurodiverse clients experience the world and how I can work effectively to support them."

"I feel equipped to support their needs effectively."
