What happens on the three live training days?

At a Glance

Three full-day live online sessions on Zoom — held on alternate weeks across the cohort, 10am–4pm UK time. These are not lecture days. They are interactive learning days combining tutor-led teaching, breakout group discussions, demonstrations, and case work.

A day's structure

Each live day follows roughly this shape:

  • Opening — settling in, framing the day, checking in as a group
  • Tutor-led teaching segments — building on the self-directed work you've completed before the day
  • Demonstrations — including the actor-led dissociation video, polyvagal breathing demonstrations, and case examples
  • Breakout group discussions — small-group work to embed material, share perspectives, and discuss application to real practice
  • Case discussions — bringing the frameworks to life through concrete examples
  • Reflective work — both individual and shared, often where the deepest learning happens
  • Q&A with the tutor team
  • Tech-supported throughout — a dedicated host manages Zoom, links, and any glitches so the tutors can focus on teaching

Why the breakouts matter

Across the TrustPilot reviews, breakout rooms are mentioned again and again. They're where members move from passively learning to actively integrating — testing their understanding against peers, hearing how others are thinking about the same material, and discovering they're not alone in their questions.

"I especially appreciated the breakout rooms, as they gave us time to discuss the material and really embed what we were learning."

"Lovely group of people! The breakouts gave us space to explore as well as listen."

A note on attendance

Full attendance at all three live training days is part of completing the course. The days are held on alternate weeks, allowing time between them for the self-directed work to land and for reflection.

If something genuinely prevents you from attending a session, please speak to the team — the course holds space for life events with care.
