How is the course delivered?

At a Glance

The course is delivered entirely online and is fully self-paced. There are no fixed live sessions to attend. You work through the materials, exercises, and buddy work at a pace that suits your life and existing commitments.

What's inside the course portal

When you enrol, you receive access to the secure online learning portal. You'll find:

• Video lectures covering all the core content of the course

• Practical exercises to apply what you're learning

• Buddy work — opportunities to practise online and telephone work with someone of your own choosing (more on this in the dedicated article)

• Reading and reference materials — slide packs, transcripts, recommended further reading

• Reflective tasks to process your learning as you go

• An optional Facebook group linked to the course, for those who want to connect with other members

The portal is accessible 24/7 from any internet-connected device.

A fully self-paced course

Unlike some CPD courses with fixed live workshop dates, this course has no live sessions you need to schedule into your life. You work through the materials when it suits you. You set your own pace.

For most members, this flexibility is one of the most valued aspects of the course. You can study during quiet evenings, on a weekend morning, between client sessions — whatever fits.

Buddy work

The course includes buddy work — opportunities to practise the technical and practical elements with someone of your own choosing. You find your own buddy: a peer, colleague, friend, or anyone in your network. The course doesn't pair you with anyone; that's deliberately up to you.

After the course

When you complete all the modules, exercises, and buddy work, you receive your certificate evidencing 80 CPD hours.
