At a Glance
Many of our members are neurodivergent — autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic. The course is designed with multi-format learning, self-paced portal work, dedicated tech support, and a reasonable adjustments policy that means specific accessibility needs can be discussed and supported on request.
Built with accessible learning in mind
The design choices that work well for neurodivergent learners turn out to work well for everyone, which is why the course is consistently described as accessible across the board.
What's in place
Multi-format learning
Every lecture in the portal is available as:
- Video with the lecturer and slideshow
- Audio for those who prefer to listen, or who learn better away from a screen
- Full transcript for reading-preferred learners or for use with screen-reader and other assistive tools
- Downloadable slide pack for visual reference
You choose how the material reaches you.
Self-paced portal work
The 30 hours of self-directed learning is fully self-paced. You can do it in short focused bursts, longer sessions, or whatever rhythm fits your processing style.
Tech support during live days
A dedicated tech host runs alongside the tutor on each live training day, managing the Zoom environment, sharing links, and handling any glitches — so technology doesn't get in the way of your learning.
Reasonable adjustments on request
If you have a specific accessibility need — including anything that affects how you engage with the live training days — please let the team know in advance. We have a reasonable adjustments policy and will work with you to support what you need to participate well. Many practitioners haven't had their accessibility needs taken seriously in previous CPD; we take them seriously here.

A note on specific needs
If you have an accessibility requirement you'd like to discuss before enrolling, email support@counsellingtutor.com. We'd much rather hear from you in advance than have you struggle. We've supported members with a wide range of needs.
