At a Glance

The Student Library is for counselling and psychotherapy students at every stage — Level 2 introductory courses through to degrees and masters. Whatever modality you're studying, whichever awarding body you're with, the library is built to support your training.

Who joins

  • Students at every level — Levels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and beyond, on courses run by colleges, universities, and private learning institutions
  • Across every UK modality — Person-Centred, Integrative, CBT, Psychodynamic, TA, Gestalt, Existential, and others
  • Mature students returning to study — many members are in their forties, fifties, and beyond, often after decades away from formal education
  • Career changers — from healthcare, teaching, the military, journalism, parenting, business
  • Neurodivergent learners — dyslexic, ADHD, autistic, and others who thrive on multi-format content
  • International students — counselling theory and skills are universal, and members log in from around the world

A common thread

Members come from every walk of life. What they share is something simpler: they want to be good counsellors, they care deeply about the people they will work with, and they want a resource that meets them where they are — not where a textbook assumes they are.

If that sounds like you, you'll feel at home in the library.

A note on where you are right now

Whether you are on day one of an introductory course or partway through a diploma, the library is designed to support your current stage. You can join at any time — there is no academic year cycle, no enrolment window, no waiting list.
