Getting Started with Your Student Library Membership

At a Glance

Welcome to the Student Library. This guide will help you log in for the first time, find your way around, and start making the most of your membership straight away.

Step 1 — Log In to Your Account

1. Go to counsellingtutor.com/login
2. Select Student Library from the portal options.
3. Enter the email address and password from your welcome email.

Step 2 — Find Your Way Around

Once logged in, you will land on your Student Library dashboard. From here you can:

• Browse by category — use the menu on the left to explore Academic Lectures, CPD Lectures, Resources, and more
• Search by keyword — type in any topic (e.g. person-centred, ethics, placement) to find relevant content instantly
• Use the Roadmap — found on your dashboard, the Roadmap helps you find material organised by study route, so you can follow a structured path through the library that fits your training
• Save favourites — bookmark lectures and resources you want to return to
• Access your Student Library Handbook — the most useful starting point for understanding everything the library offers and how to use it

Step 3 — Take the Virtual Tour

Not sure where to begin? The Virtual Tour is a full video walkthrough of the Student Library — perfect for getting your bearings at your own pace.

1. Log in to the Student Library.
2. Look at the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Click Start Here.
4. Select the Virtual Tour and press play.

The walkthrough covers the full range of features and resources available to you as a Student Library member.

Step 4 — Claim Your CPD Certificate

Once you have watched a CPD lecture, you can download your certificate straight away.

What You Will Find in the Student Library

Here is a quick overview of what is available to you as a member:

• Academic Lectures — Theory, Skills, Practice & Evaluation, and Study Help lectures that align with your formal training
• CPD Lectures — Specialist topics delivered by expert practitioners, each with a downloadable CPD certificate
• Resources — Quick-reference documents, handouts, and revision summaries organised by topic
• Bonus Courses — Academic Writing and Introduction to Online and Telephone Counselling, both included with your membership
• The Roadmap — a guided study path to help you find the most relevant content for your training route
• Student Community — a private Facebook group exclusively for Student Library members
