An Enquiry call puts a first conversation in your diary for someone who is not a client yet. You get the appointment without creating a full client file for a person who may never become one, and if the work does go ahead you can turn the enquiry into a client record without retyping anything.

How to do it

  1. From Your Clients, click Appointments Calendar near the top. On a phone that button reads Calendar. Then click New Appointment.
  2. Choose Enquiry call instead of a client.
  3. Add a short Reference (optional) using initials or a code, then set the date, time, length and how you are speaking.
  4. Leave Count towards practice hours switched off unless you specifically want it included, then save.

Worth knowing: Keep the reference to initials or a code. It is a diary entry, not a clinical record, and a full name sits on your calendar where it can be read over your shoulder. If the work goes ahead, open the enquiry and choose Create client record, which carries the booking across.
