What makes this course different from other trauma CPD?

At a Glance

Most trauma CPD takes one of two shapes — a passive video course where you watch and download a certificate, or a single-modality workshop teaching one technique. This course is built differently: multiple models, live tutor guidance, and an ethical commitment to keeping participants safe as they learn.

What's distinctive

A few things genuinely set this course apart.

Multiple models, not one dogma

The course teaches several trauma recovery frameworks side by side — Trauma Model Therapy, Trauma Resilience Model, Three-Stage Model, Dual Awareness, polyvagal theory, breathwork, and others. You leave with an integrative toolkit to choose from, not a single technique to apply universally.

This matters because trauma presents differently in every client. A practitioner with one model has one tool. A practitioner with multiple models can match the work to the client in front of them.

Structured live experience — not just videos

Three full-day live online training sessions form the backbone of the course. Tutors lead. Breakout groups deepen the work. Peer reflection is built in. The 30 hours of self-directed learning supports the live work, not the other way round.

Ethical "no role-play" stance

Most trauma training uses role-play to practise skills. This course deliberately does not — because role-play in a trauma context can overwhelm participants or trigger their own trauma responses. The course uses demonstrations (including actor-led dissociation video), case discussions, and reflective practice instead. It's a quieter way to learn — and a safer one.

Accessible by design

Full transcripts of all materials. Self-paced portal work. Tech support running alongside teaching so glitches don't derail the learning. Reasonable adjustments available on request for any specific accessibility need. Members consistently mention how accessible the format feels.

Lifetime access

You keep access to the learning materials — slides, transcripts, audio — indefinitely. The course you complete today is available to return to whenever you need it.

How graduates describe it

"Not just CPD — it's a professional transformation."

"I have come out of the training not only informed but transformed."

"The integrative approach adds depth and creativity in one's practice regardless of modality."
