Course overview

The Introduction to Trauma-Informed Practice (Tutor-Led Track) is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who want to develop their knowledge and skills in working with trauma.

What is included

  • 30 hours of self-directed learning — work through 9 modules at your own pace
  • 3 live tutor-led full-day sessions — held online, 10am–4pm each day
  • Downloadable resources — slide packs, audio files, and transcripts for every lecture
  • Reflective tasks — activities to deepen your learning and suggested reading at each stage
  • Private training community — a dedicated platform (separate from Facebook) where you connect with fellow students; details are provided on your first login
  • Counselling Tutor private Facebook group — access to our wider community of 45,000+ members

On completion

  • Certificate of completion — evidence of 60 hours CPD, available to download once all modules are finished
  • Downloadable digital badge — add it to your website or marketing materials to show your achievement

A note on role-play

This course does not include role-play exercises. For safety reasons, dissociation work is demonstrated via a recorded video presentation rather than live practice.
