Are your CPD hours recognised in the United States?

Counselling Tutor is a UK-based provider, and our CPD hours are recognised by UK counselling bodies. We do not hold accreditation with US bodies such as the NBCC, so our certificates cannot be used directly towards US Continuing Education Units. Your own licensing board is the right place to check what it will accept.

Where Our CPD Hours Are Recognised

Counselling Tutor is a UK-based training provider. Our CPD hours and certificates are designed for practitioners working within the UK professional framework.

They are recognised by UK counselling bodies including the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

US Accreditation and the NBCC

We do not currently hold accreditation with US-based professional bodies, including the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).

• No Provider number — we are unable to provide an NBCC Provider number
• CEU requirements — our certificates cannot be used directly to fulfil NBCC Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements

If You Are Based in the United States

We would always recommend checking directly with your own ethical body or licensing board in the first instance.

They are best placed to advise whether hours from an international provider can be accepted towards your continuing education requirements.
